Kyle Ronnau

Kyle Ronnau

CEO, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Kyle Ronnau is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and owner of Meridian Advanced Psychiatry. He formed this organization in response to the lack of available psychiatric services in Meridian, Idaho. Kyle has served patients for many years all over the Treasure Valley, and beyond to Payette, Ontario, McCall, Twin Falls, and other areas. He realized that in his previous roles, he was often referring patients with substance use to other psychiatric providers and often finding a total lack of providers accepting new patients or in convenient locations. Now centrally located just off I-84 between the Meridian and Ten Mile exits, Meridian Advanced Psychiatry is here to provide more access to mental health services for children through adults. In addition, we also provide treatment for substance use disorder for adults, all in one location.

Kyle Ronnau has worked in healthcare in the Treasure Valley for over 15 years. He completed his undergraduate nursing at Boise State University and his graduate education at Gonzaga University. He has worked in a variety of roles in mental health including inpatient, outpatient, and transitional housing.

His particular professional interests include treatment of substance use, use of complementary treatments such as herbal medicine, mental health concerns with traumatic brain injuries, mood and attention issues in children such as ADHD and ODD, co-occurring mental health in substance use such as major depressive disorder and opioid use disorder, and treatment of behaviors that span across many (if not all) mental health disorders such as insomnia and behavioral eating disorders.

Personally, Kyle has a small hobby farm to keep him busy. He enjoys raising his Nigerian Dwarf goats, chickens, and ducks, and growing a wide array of fruits and vegetables. His time on the farm is accompanied by his wife, Linze, his daughter Elizabeth, and their ever-growing family of dogs and cats.

Mary (Hannah) Rankin

MSN, PMHNP-BC

Mary (Hannah) Rankin is a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She started her nursing career in WV working as a medical/surgical nurse and realized most of her patients also suffered from untreated mental disorders. After moving to Idaho in 2021, Hannah decided she wanted to pursue a career in mental health. Hannah first obtained her FNP-MSN and then went on to complete her PMHNP post-maser's certification through the University of Cincinnati.

Professionally, Hannah enjoys working with a variety of patients including both adults and children. Hannah brings her expertise as an FNP to look at the entire person rather than only focusing on mind versus body. Hannah enjoys incorporating supplements into the treatment plan. She treats patients with a variety of disorders including ADHD, depression, anxiety, substance use, and many more.

Personally, Hannah enjoys traveling to new and exciting places with her husband. She also enjoys photography, hot springs, and hiking on her days off.

Matthew Fowler

Matthew Fowler

MSN, AGNP-C

Matt Fowler has served in the healthcare field in the Treasure Valley for 7+ years. His focus as a registered nurse was primarily in the emergency and critical care setting at the area's level 2 trauma hospital, where he discovered his passion for helping patients in the mental health community. He completed both his undergraduate and graduate nursing degrees from Boise State University with a principal focus on primary care in the adult and gerontology populations.

Matt's professional interests include the treatment of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health concerns with a holistic and integrated approach to patient care. He has a strong belief that regular psychotherapy sessions combined with the right medications helps to get to the true root of issues and achieve the greatest results. He believes that no person should feel either limited or defined by their diagnosis. Matthew strives to make sure all patients are treated as individuals in a comfortable and safe environment.

Personally, Matt is somewhat of a football fanatic with an affinity for both the Philadelphia Eagles and (of course) the Boise State Broncos. In his free time, apart from all things football, he also enjoys traveling, cooking and grilling, and spending quality time with his wife and their spoiled English Labrador Retriever, Roxie.

Shaina received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Northwest Nazarene University and has been working in healthcare in the Treasure Valley since 2016. Shaina has a diverse healthcare background, including internal medicine, cardiology, and psychiatry. Some of Shaina's goals are to decrease the stigma of mental illness, help patients attain their personal goals, and, most importantly, discover their identity and the ability to love themselves as they are. Shaina's greatest strengths include critical and holistic thinking, as well as being a compassionate and empathetic person who desires to meet people where they are and be the catalyst that guides people to where they want to be.
Shaina has clinical experience in assisting patients throughout the lifespan, including pediatrics, young adults, adults, and the geriatric population with a variety of psychiatric conditions including ADHD, mood disorders, substance use disorders, and PTSD. Shaina's treatment approach is dependent on her patients' specific goals as she fully believes the treatment should be a teamwork approach that addresses mind, body, and spirit.

Shaina is a strong believer that if we do not change how we think and view ourselves, our habits and actions will not change.
